Also, running 100-year-long trials is impossible, so if we want to live longer, we gotta go out on a limb and experiment with these compounds on our own.

It's very difficult to run human studies for longevity purposes.

Any studies in humans yet? Unfortunately several mice studies don’t translate super well to humans when it comes to longevity. 

Some treatment will for instance reduce immune system (e.g. long fasts) or bone strength which outside of captivity can cause early death

Oh, ok. Simply convert mice age to human to know when to give it to your kid.
