In the US, almost a third (at best) of the population that can legally vote, doesn't. Would be interesting to see if this varies by party/demographic - figure that'd explain why certain messaging is used in ads and such

met an ivy league grad in nyc last month who had never heard of kamala harris, my guess would be a significant number of that third has never even thought of politics
