Are NFTs helpful for membership passes?

I own both regular online memberships and NFT based versions.

And the main difference seems to be if I need to renew yearly, and whether I can sell it on at some point.
So largely seems to boil down to business model, and for most businesses yearly fees is preferred.

I largely agree, but there are a few other small perks, like digital identity, big perk of most memberships is telling everyone else you are part of the club(why there are so many purple pfps), but always good to ask why something needs to be on chain
