I realize PeerDAS is not nearly ready yet, but I hope we see it fast-tracked for inclusion in the not too distant future. 384kbps of blob space per block isn't going to cut it for long and we need to get to the point where every validator doesn't need to download every single bit of chain data.

why not volition / validium in meantime? we know at least one of those works

or adopt the arbitrum anytrust model which has rollup fallback mode

or post DA to mainnet when gas prices are temp low

it's like uber and lyft wait-and-save but for degen defi activity (which is honestly most of L2s right now)

I think people overestimate the demand for high security data, and underestimate for low security. The former is well supplied by 4844, latter can easily be expanded by alt-DA

Stuff like degeneracy, inscriptions - these don't require Ethereum-level security and are better off done using the various validium/plasma like constructions

Even weeks after release, 4844 is mostly just inscriptions spam, and while "real" demand will certainly be induced 4844+, PeerDAS etc are well placed to keep up
