Farcaster is a fine demonstration in why you don't need strict global consensus and public blockchains for most things, but at the same time, they can prove valuable for 1 or 2 things I hope to see more hybrid applications that are significantly better by minimizing blockchain usage only to strict global consensus

Stateless constructions like ZK coprocessors (not rollups) where verifiability or auditability is important, but consensus not Or, you need consensus but with massive compute demand for 10,000+ CPU cores, e.g. multiplayer onchain games (see: the EVE Online onchain game) Whether they find PMF remains to be seen

(Arguably, Farcaster Hubs has already found PMF as a stateless L3, but IMO too early)
