Even if Friend.tech fails to gain lasting traction, it's still brought many people onchain (specifically onto an L2) and shown that crypto apps can work without needing to be on an app store It's still quite clunky, but it feels like a 0 to 1 moment for onchain/crypto UX

This was Ned Scott's idea back in 2017, how Steem's "Smart Media Tokens" would ponzify communities and people. That never happened, but Friendtech seems like the closest execution on that idea. As perverse as turning people into ponzis may be, it's pretty entertaining for the target audience (degens) 😁
