New wallet attribute: ๐จ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐บ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป Uncontroversial statement: Lots of scams in crypto! Wallets should help you stay safe. Walletbeat now checks whether a wallet warns about scam apps or contracts or when sending funds to unknown recipients. Raising the bar.

Payments-focused wallets such as @daimo don't support making arbitrary contract interactions. So they are only assessed based on whether they provide adequate warning when: - Sending funds to an address you haven't sent funds to before - Sending funds to an address not on your address book

Wallets that support arbitrary contract interactions should also: - Check if the contract was only recently deployed onchain - Check if you have previously interacted with this contract - Check the contract address against a list of known-bad contracts - Check if the app's URL is on a list of known-bad URLs

Of course, such features must preserve user privacy. Per my previous thread on the subject, some wallets do great on this, others not so much. Those who would give up essential privacy, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither privacy nor safety. https://warpcast.com/polymutex.eth/0x728e408b
