And to be honest, Farcaster does not have a lot of developer adoption. They have a small but vocal and creative core group of devs that are willing to put up with limitations. That’s called early adopters. The FC team will need to do something different to get to early majority imo.

My 13-year-old son had a business idea to charge 25 cents to let teens complain to phone operators. I asked him if he was sure he could handle people complaining nonstop. Today he text me this 😂

AI answers, which are out of date and wrong...a lot, completely mess up our product experience leading to significantly more customer support. 1 feels narrow. High volume is possible for the participants, but narrow distribution. Which is maybe ok depending on goals 2 feels like there could be wider distribution *if* enough people care. Devs as an audience is already limiting but maybe it’s wider than framing number 1?

This kind of thing is why the JS ecosystem gets a bad name. But it’s also true. I moved off JS-based static site generators for my personal site and build a custom Go engine that converts markdown to HTML. With every new social network I have to decide who I am. Like with Farcaster, I’m the web3 tech guy. With threads I’m leaning toward writing. I don’t know who I should be on Bluesky yet. Feels like you can’t be all of you on any single social platform anymore.
