We would gain very little that benefits users, in exchange for slowing everything down, increasing costs and adding complexity.

Imagine a world where there was an integrations section to Warpcast and people could opt-in to connecting their Pinata account if they want to have their Warpcast media stored and distributed through IPFS. No cost to Warpcast, user opt-in. Seems to solve both sides.
