What needs to improve to make Safari your default browser? Don’t say everything.

It would have to make a case for itself. I don’t really have any complaints with Chrome, and I know how to use the dev tools. It’s less about what it lacks, and more about convincing me to switch.

That said, any reason to switch?

I don’t have any besides it’s optimized for Macs and doesn’t kill the CPU. But of course that can be overcome with a more performant machine.

My 2021 M1 is suddenly starting to chug. That’s actually the reason I’m even asking. I love my computer and don’t want to upgrade to a newer silicon chip yet.

Apple Silicon def made this problem go away for me. It'd be way more compelling to switch if they were still using Intel chips.
