I used to write all of my side projects in JavaScript because it felt faster. Now, I go back to old ones and cringe when it's not in Typescript. Makes it so much harder to figure out what's going on.

I get nervous even thinking about some of my old stuff. So much jquery that I imagine would create a black hole that enveloped the world should I try to run it now.

I had written JS for so long that I'd gotten used to all of its quirks, and was like ughhhh why would I want to add types. @brenner.eth pilled me on Typescript and man I can't imagine going back.
