When Steve and I started orbiter.host, there were two things we wanted to focus on: 1. Playing in a validated market. 2. Using /pinata for all our IPFS needs. We did exactly those things even if point 1 means dealing with heavy competition. I think we have some nice advantages that will grow over time though.

Playing in a validated market is a cheat code. I’ve often built in invalidated markets and to compensate for that I’ve tried the mom test approach to product and problem validation. However, you still run into a distribution issue if the market isn’t already demanding the thing you have.

So by building in a competitive space, you have more obvious distribution channel. Just have to find a way to differentiate.
