our new Maximalists have completely take the wrong lesson from the success of Bitcoin Maximalism. they are looking to its older hostile era as effective when in fact its effective era is its current one, which is muted and disinterested in other ecosystems.

I disagree with that conclusion given the recent events. Personally I'm pretty proud of how the Ethereum community has finally had enough of people trying to create narratives without any meaningful evidence that they're a real problem outside of Twitter like "L2s are parasitic" and "Ethereum has no north star." The more logical reason these narratives were pushed was to divide the community rather than strengthen it, especially as they often come from people deeply tied to other ecosystems Now, that doesn't mean the Ethereum community can't take criticism. Thoughtful, well intentioned criticism is crucial for growth. Talks like the ones from Ameen and Eric Wall raise valid concerns that we should work to address But at the same time, it's important to recognize bad faith attacks because they were actually somewhat effective until recently in shaping the narrative the social layer was putting out
