London

London and UK more broadly getting a lot of heat for various reasons atm. Despite all the noise, I'm long on London. Here are just some of the reasons:

- International
- Talent hub (top universities + companies)
- Rich cultural scene
- Great food from anywhere
- Home of Arsenal FC
- And because on a sunny day, there's no city more beautiful. Except Vienna.

love and hate my home city tbh
travel around the world and I realise that London isn't a bad baseline standard (shows state of the world sadly)

tax bands and bankrupt councils are pretty messed up tho I have to say
won postcode lottery here being born in Kensington and Chelsea despite living in social housing

the usual - weather, rising taxes and petty crime

as with everything, cities comes with trade offs. I also think that the ideal city for someone changes with different chapters in their life. Given what's important to me atm, London fits the bill.
