GM dear! For me, it is important that every work of art has its own story. I always liked artists to write about their artwork and the story it has. It is rare to find an artist photographer who has the art of storytelling, but its effect is really greater than others. The best example of such an artist is @angelikakollin, she is a visual poet.

Storytelling is key for me. Sometimes, I see a piece & don’t quite get it—until I read the story or even the name of the piece and then it all clicks. Just like IRL , I prefer a conversation to truly know someone. Sure , the visual appeal matters too when I collect—but the story always comes first.

All of the above! Sometimes it's the visual beauty, sometimes the feelings it evokes, and sometimes everything at once. And I'll have to add the affordability to the list. There is a lot of art that I enjoy seeing, but can't actually collect.

I'm not a big collector, but my purchases usually depend on everything at once, with each factor carrying its own weight in every case. However, visual effects are typically both the opening and closing factor—meaning that if I'm seeing an artist for the first time, my initial focus will be on the artwork itself. If I’m familiar with the artist, I will consider more factors, such as their history, and so on. But in the end, it is the art itself that ultimately matters.
