Everyone is welcome to our Finterview. If you want to participate, let's start with this one... What does the term β€œmasterpiece” mean to you?

I consider a masterpiece that work of art that leaves even its creator breathless. I believe Mikko stated that, even though he shoots a lot and takes his camera with him everywhere he goes, there are only two or three images that he is completely satisfied with during a year. Those are most likely the masterpieces.

Welcome to our Finterview Alley! How would you describe your artistic style to someone unfamiliar with your work?

I won't describe it at all πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ I've only recently started my journey, and I'm not a full-time artist. I therefore don't have a "style" yet and am still searching for what works best for me. I'm constantly improving, particularly in terms of technique, and I make every effort to convey my ideas as accurately as possible but there's still a long way until the point where I would like to arrive. However, what I do know is that there is a fire within me that longs for manifestation and that there is no turning back from it.

What initially drew you to art, and how did your journey as an artist begin?

The need to express my imagination. Not the desire, but the need! That's how I know 'the fire' I was mentioning before exists somewhere inside. As I had no talent at drawing, I was initially attracted to photography, but when I started doing it, the equipment was not a cheap thing, so it slowed me down a lot. Now I can afford it but meanwhile the tech revolution brought about tools that changed my direction and got me closer to what I love the most in the world of art: sculptures. I started with Blender, but that is another either very expensive way or a very time-consuming way. So now I'm working on these 2D things that I do in order to calm down 'the fire' and not forget the ideas, and I trust that one day they will exist irl due to the same tech advancement that is moving at a very fast pace lately.

Is there anyone special that helped you when you were starting out, and what difference did they make?

Yes, failure! That one is the best master of them all. It's incredible how much one can learn from mistakes if you are willing to. Otherwise, I don't believe in having a master because, for a long time, you won't be yourself but an extension of the master. I am that type that doesn't like to read the 'help' of anything. I prefer the option where I am trying to figure it out for myself and fail for 1000 times until I get it. Life is like this; we are coming into this world without knowing any rules or what we have to do here. The rest of our journey is about finding out.
