becoming a founder has made me simultaneously much smarter & much dumber smarter: learning about growth, bd, sales, marketing, value creation/capture, protocol design, strategy dumber: no idea whats happening in the world. stopped reading books/news, i literally don't do anything besides work and spend time w/ family

I love that self realisation/awareness that apprehends "this making me dumber." Staying sharp on <X> is a managed portfolio of time allocation, eh?! Your comment reminded me of (as a related idea) an old "Joel on Software" essay, where he pointed to different kinds of programming, & that some of them made you dumber.
