One of the sadder and more frustrating experiences working in larger organizations is seeing people who step in to fix problems being rewarded more than people who prevent problems from ever happening. If youβre a problem-preventer you have a second job to do which is making sure people know your value. (Unless you donβt care about recognition, raises or promotions)

Deep observation, Adrienne! Yes yes. βπ»ππ»ββοΈ The calm counter-factual doesn't elicit the same sort of "hero" drama and reward...but it should!
