This horizontal layout of the primary side-bar-view tabs shows discerning taste over the core VSCode teams vertical space-waster.

(and I haven't even got on to the main value proposition: <LLM> stuff)

The forking of an OSS UI project this large (both technically, and in terms of serious install base globally) is spectacular, and fascinating to witness.
