On mobile, right now, there's a real jank battle that goes on between the keyboard, the scrolling view of the cast's edit body, and the username list when typing an "@name" This can also result, when giving up on the list & attempting to scroll up to get a visual reference on the @name to type, of cancelling the edit.

Given screen real-estate on the phone is finite, so this battle for pixels is always gonna happen on the popups, my sense is this could be relaxed by having calmer gestures for pushing the popup away. It's more that it's pretty aggressively up in your grill when the caret gets near the @name

A totally intricate juggling act with these mobile inputs, for sure! Hmm, now you got me thinking, for my client, some kind of exploration of the Whisper API's for speech-to-text would be interesting. With the ChatGTP input interaction, I can finally see an example of 💬..to.."text" that doesn't suck.

This gets even harder — and sometimes impossible — if there is an image or link populating the compose area
