A fake wallet app that was available on the Google Play Store for four months stole more than $70,000 worth of cryptocurrency in a phishing attack before being removed. The malware impersonated WalletConnect to trick users into authorizing transactions. The fake app was downloaded 10,000 times in total, with 150 people being fooled.
