The craziest/wildest reason to work on crypto: If AGI (digital people) is achieved, it'll use crypto rails to transact and have property rights. It won't use meatspace stuff because it's too "wet" and slow. Haven't seen any crypto protocol targeting AGIs as customer/user.

Why would a crypto protocol specifically target an AGI? What's the difference to a human user? An AGI could use smart contracts on Ethereum just fine. And 12s block time is not a problem either. AGIs won't be that fast, at least not initially. See how slow ChatGPT is at producing tokens.

>Why if AGI economically outproduces humans, it's more profitable to cater to them >human vs. AGI diff? yeah sure, AGI can adapt to digital realm we have built, but is it "ergonomic" to them specifically? (I haven't thought much about this.)

How would you set things up so they're AGI friendly? You'd add API calls. But that's exactly how smart contracts work already. Much more ergonomic for a machine than for a human. (We don't really understand these API calls and rely on wallets etc. to interact with them for us. The AGI could go direct.)
