The past several days were a test of my sanity. I don’t want to complain too much, because some people have it much worse, but it was one of those weeks where each development further destabilized an already fragile situation. Starting a new job with a puppy at home was chaotic enough before the living room started leaking and collapsing, right as family came to town for the half marathon this weekend. I’ve run through the gauntlet of emotions: fear, pride, rage, embarrassment, gratitude. The one constant was overwhelm. Everything is (going to be) okay, but this level of tension can leave a scar. Ultimately these stretches of life produce the strongest memories. It’s up to us to choose how we remember them.

Biggest advice is to think less, focus on the single most valuable and actionable next step and do that. Rinse and repeat. It's too overwhelming to think too much

Yeah honestly wasn’t a lot of thinking going on to start with, mostly jumping from feeling to feeling I’m normally a pretty zen person but it felt like a lot was out of my control
