Maybe my perception is off but it feels like @vitalik.eth had a long break from writing/promoting EIPs but is now back with a vengeance. And I am here for it.

I think we're now in our first sustained period of 4844 blob demand leading to real (if still tiny) blob fees. Insert "it's happening" gif here.

I think it is possible to have those traits and be less of an asshole though. I lost a lot of respect from him after his behaviour towards the rescue of the trapped Thai football team. He came across as a petulant child.

How will we guarantee that history remains available once full modes forget it by default? Is there a p2p network that can provide a strong guarantee?

That's a very undesirable state to be in!

That's going to happen to some extent anyway and is not a reason not to address the staking ratio.

Um anyone who doesn't want an intermediated asset as collateral. > The terminal state of any positive yield is 100% stake by LSTs. This is precisely why we must not have positive yield out to 100% stake.

TIL you need at least 44,000 ETH restaked with Eigenlayer if you want to be an EigenDA operator.

I would expect LST holders to go wherever they can get the best yield. When the staking yield drops, they will exit their positions much more quickly than solo stakers.

There is not going to be any way to address this problem which does not involve a significant reduction in staking yield. As a solo staker myself I'm not thrilled about it, but I care more about the long term visibility of Ethereum.

If you believe this then you will know that it is urgent to limit the proportion of ETH that is staked, requiring a reduction in issuance. Otherwise ETH will effectively be replaced by an LST in the long term.

Maybe. But I'm not convinced that Eigenlayer really wants solo stakers. I'd love to discover I'm wrong.

What with this and the lack of points premium for solo stakers, I'm left with the impression that small staker-operators aren't really seen as an important part of the EigenLayer ecosystem.

I was disappointed to discover that only the 200 operators with the largest stake can participate in actually running EigenDA. I'd love to hear a take from @sreeramkannan or others in the know what role is envisaged for solo stakers I'm the EigenLayer ecosystem.
