Back in the day there was big effort made to keep price chat out of r/ethereum, with r/ethtrader made for that purpose. A shame to see no such effort this time around and /ethereum already dominated by speculation chatter 😢

Thanks. Clearly early days for Farcaster dealing with channel spam. I wonder how many people actually read the pinned post. @dwr.eth would there be scope for something like the bots often seen on discord which require new posters to acknowledge a code of conduct before casting?

there's definitely an effort, though early days in dealing with this problem - see channel's pinned cast from mod @shazow.eth

still time to course correct imho! at same time there should be variety of levels. In my ideal world...

ethrd -- full stop technical and research focus

ethereum -- not inundated with price talk, but more tolerant of things that aren't pure research ?

ethtrader -- go crazy w ur charts and price talk

Especially as we already have /ethfinance to talk about the market and price action. But it’s up to the hosts of /ethereum to enforce that and direct people accordingly.
