it’s a token model whereby you can buy and sell parts of onchain media. if you hit whole numbers, you get corresponding number of NFTs eg:

0.99 $MYST - no NFT
1 $MYST - 1 NFT
1.5 $MYST - 1 NFT
2 $MYST - 2 NFTs

sell or transfer 1 $MYST - NFT transferred too

why not just use erc1155, which is already a battle tested standard?

because of liquidity and trading tools in general
But honestly, for me, it moves focus from the art so far it is hard even compare it to classic 721

I would generally agree - it sort of signals to me that you’re aggressively commodifying the art - why make it so aggro liquid unless you’re pretty exclusively speculating vs collecting? 

I threw a little bit of $ at a few 404 projects w cool art today but there’s a reason I don’t didn’t mention it re mrphs!
