The universal investment benchmark is the 60/40 portfolio of stocks and bonds. What if you replaced the bonds entirely with gold…. Similar results for the past 50 or 100 years… Now that the fiscal situation in the U.S. is this bad, would you rather own bonds or a hard asset like Gold or Bitcoin?

I remember when I first got into investing I bought some bonds and ETFs for S&P. I added metals at some point to invest but it was the start of a pain trade that kind of got me warmed up to crypto. Now I'm very far off the curve being so risk adverse with tech stocks and crypto 😂

Same for bonds that got totally obliterated in the past couple years. I DCAed in some for a year but now I'm only in stock, crypto and t-bills. I believe in digital gold (BTC) more than gold. Gold is a store of value only where BTC can appreciate greatly before becoming one.
