2 years ago, I didn’t know it but it would be the last day I’d get to spend with my best friend. For almost 15 years, Brodie (Brodster, Broderson, Bröd) was the mainstay in my life. At my lowest point, he was the light. He was the thing that kept me moving when I couldn’t see any other reason to. He was a charmer, hockey lover, IPA sipper, and the biggest blanket hogger. All he ever wanted was to be close to everyone and was the best for it. Cherish every minute you can with them because they do it without question.

Who needs dinner at a wedding when there’s a cheeseboard like this?? A pierogi deli sounds like a great neighbor for a cheeseboard shop, just sayin…

Surprisingly subtle. I guess it was a brand new barrel if that makes a difference. The vanilla does help to balance it out I feel.

Nothing like a 33 month BA Russian Imperial Stout to start the day.

It cannot be a pieroguy birthday without Birthday Cake Pierogi! Funfetti cake dough with a blueberry cake cream filling. 42 years around the sun feels pretty alright.

I agree. I know my strength is pierogi content but don’t want it to be the only content I contribute. It’s more of testing the words of other content that I enjoy to see if it’s something that exists here yet. I’m happy to even be on the leaderboard with what I do contribute and just need to start interacting more overall.

Each week I’ve been tweaking my casting to see what helps me move up the leaderboard. Last week showed me we’re still a bit away from having strong pro wrestling or hockey communities here. Also feel that my increase in casts has caused my casts to be seen less on the timeline? Interactions were definitely down this week compared to previous weeks. New week, new method to try.

Having 20 years of Dyngus celebrations under my belt, it’s something I look forward every year. From bartending, to cooking to dancing until I can’t anymore, it’s always a blast. First picture is from 2007 and the second is last year. Might have more pounds and less hair but the Polish pride is as strong as ever.

Happy Dyngus Day Farcaster! What’s Dyngus Day? It’s the celebration of the end of Lent and the joy of Easter. Over the last 60 years or so in Buffalo, NY, Easter Monday has grown into the best Monday of the year. Think of it as an amalgamation of St. Patrick’s Day and Mardi Gras. Using inspiration from Christian and Slavic customs, what was the traditional Dyngus Day celebration has evolved. Originally, men would court women by throwing water on them or tapping them with a pussywillow branch. The women would return the favor on Tuesday. Now anyone can be armed with a branch or squirt gun to show admiration. In the US, the celebration has become one of Polish Pride. Dressing in red and white, drinking Polish beer and Krupnik (honey liqueur), and enjoying all your favorite Polish foods while listening and dancing to Polka music through the night Buffalo has a parade that has gained national attention over the past 15 years growing to one of the largest Polish American celebrations each year.

Night 2 had the better matches but worse main event. Just very anticlimactic for it being Cena’s last WM match.
