Maybe we could encourage people to cast more about what their bookish interests are and what kind of reader they are.

It may feel out off place because right now the focus is very much on the books themselves, but even recommendations can become more meaningful when you know who is behind the recommendation.

I will play. I have always read a lot, a habit I got from my mother (who taught me to read when I was 4). My Dad would take me to the library on Sundays. 

I love science fiction & fantasy. I also read a lot of non-fiction: history, biography, & science mostly.
