I went to the Pokemon store in Kyoto 7 times because there were so many limited edition items that you could only buy one of per day! The staff started to recognize me and give me restaurant recommendations in the area.

It depends on your currency. When I first started traveling to Japan the exchange rate was about $1 to 100¥ so that’s the number that’s burned in my mind. It was closer to 150 when I was there last so I’m always pleasantly surprised when my app notifies me of the conversion and things are way cheaper than I thought they would be. Sucks for my Japanese friends though. 1 $DEGEN is worth more than 1 Yen!
