the biggest opportunity right now is to build tools for channel creators

Hard agree! I want to test all of the tools. Each of my channels is different and has different needs. Can’t wait to see what get built in the next few months.

But I’m fascinated by the new gates people are coming up with like hypersubs and tokens. It’s very cool to see the innovation happening.

Right? Look at how reddit reacted and reacted 3rd party developers. Here we are ENCOURAGED to break and build and create work arounds when we don’t like things. It’s so refreshing and unreal.

I remember how cool gmail used to be with all the plugins. Then they cut off API access and killed innovation. I’ve used IMAP  ever since and log into the website a few times a year update my spam filters. Iron fist control stifles innovation. Open hacking breeds it.

yeah great point... so different. and it's wild to think how much all these experiments might diverge from each other and from what they would have been on a different social service
