what's the best default approach to channel moderation setup in automod or airstack?

That’s a super loaded question. What are you goals with what you want to hide and promote? Do you care  about SVS or is token gating better for you? Why is the default priority mode not working for your channel? I think you have to figure out what you want before you can pick a tool.

Social Value Score from AirStack. They have filters on their moderation tools that can use this score.

generally no; the intent is to help future-proof + engage a broader community in signal-boosting good casts

In that case, it may be really hard to set up any rules unless you know the content types you want to promote and those you want to hide. 

I have moderation set different on every channel I own because they are so different. Two are even in Warpcast default mode until I need to change it.

This is my challenge. I can’t write rules for that until I see it. I can hide spammy frames and keywords, but if I gate by power badge or SVS score, I punish new people for being new. 

So my big channels are now gated by NFT or hypersubs. People who pay to be there are 100% not bots. They bots won’t mint $.
