Day 19 of my zero following experiment. 1. Itโs really hard to keep up with whatโs going on inside of Farcaster. I forgot how much I depend on my network to keep me in the loop. But the main reason I did this was that I wasnโt seeing enough of the people I wanted to see. I had to rely on setting notifications for them and even that didnโt always work. Now I stalk about 15 peoples profiles daily and use group chats heavily. 2. My home feed is weird. For a while it struggled but now it mostly shows me very engaged posts in channels I follow. This is AWESOME. I donโt want to trending feed button. I want a โtrending in the channels you followโ button. This is way more likely to lead to content discovery. I see so much from these channels that I wouldnโt organically see because I donโt follow most of the folks who were posting there. My feed is full of /yellow and /superrare and /nature photos and art and I love it. Show me the best of each channel so I can find cool people.

Thatโs interesting. I wasnโt really seeing new stuff (except stupid posts saying โomg im boosted what should i cast?โ) and I was seeing the same 10 people over and over and not my IRL friends and people I wanted to see. So we start over. And see what happened.

๐๐ Very funny people. Also, people casts you engage the most is what you see. Even if I was to unfollow you, I'm pretty sure you'll still pop up. It's a social-fi app, so the same principles irl, are applied here. Imo
