Iโve been in Japan over a month and have observed peopleโs hand washing patterns over 100+ times now. People are fucking disgusting. Tourists and local alike. Iโve seen zero peple wash their hands properly. Zero. I carry soap with me. I worked in a lab all through college so proper handwashing it ingrained in me and after covid it should be top of mind for everyone. 25% of women skip washing their hands all together. Most Japanese women run their fingers only under the water for 3 seconds. Most tourists rinse their hands for 5 seconds. Iโm not touching anyone here. Yall nasty.

Everyone is carrying around a hand towel to dry their hands, but I donโt even know why they wash them. If theyโre only gonna rinse their fingers for three seconds. It just seems stupid.
