I don’t know if the best part of the Toto Museum is all the cool history I’m learning or the fact that the toilets in the building are the latest models so you can try before you buy. Toto comes from Toyo Toki which translates to Oriental Ceramics. They were too ahead of their time in 1917 so started making ceramic dish ware first! After visiting the museum, I see why they’ve won award after award and had many of their items marked as national heritage items. Toto is used exclusively in almost every hotel and apartment I’ve ever stayed at and now I have a good reference for when it was last renovated due to the exhibits!

I am involved with hotel remodels and I was surprised to see this here. Toto is the Cadillac of toilets and I can judge an entire project depending on the toilet selection made by the design team and the subsequent approval by the owner(s.) To put it simpily... They are "the shit!" that other toilets wish to be!

They had a whole section on overseas and highlighted all the hotels buying their products. It was all HIGH END hotels.
