Warpcast will remove "likely to be spam" accounts from follow counts soon. 

Likes and recasts from spammy accounts have been removed from counts for several weeks. We're now going to remove follow counts from these accounts as well.

I’m here for this.  Truly spammy accounts (aka not mislabeled humans) are not worth anyone’s attention. I’d much rather converse with awesome people who hangout here frequently and give my attention to them. 

 Can’t wait to see the frame of how many followers we lost. 

For now, go to CastSense. xyz and take some screenshots. 

You can also run a Dune query on who follows you! This is my current following. I’m going to lose ~40%.

Engaging with the real ones & embracing the purge. 
While spammers have evolved, I recall @dwr.eth & company doing a purge in the early days to re balance the scale.
I gather it's a cat & mouse game to a degree, but wouldn't be surprised if something like this is done every quarter to keep the ratio even keel.
