One of my favorite things about Japan is cherry blossoms, but did you know you can see them twice a year? Fuyuzakura (winter sakura) are varieties that also bloom in the fall/winter and are a special treat because they are rare. It makes it even better when you stumble across one! Taken in Hakone, December 2024.

Sakura is the Japanese word for cherry blossoms. There are special varieties that bloom in the winter as well.

I had misunderstood then π the translator made me think they were 2 similar flowers haha I only know about cherry blossoms from anime, it's a flower they use a lot. I look forward to your trip to see them in real life and not from pinterest.
