One of my favorite things about Japan is cherry blossoms, but did you know you can see them twice a year? Fuyuzakura (winter sakura) are varieties that also bloom in the fall/winter and are a special treat because they are rare. It makes it even better when you stumble across one!

Wait, you're saying there are some flowers similar to Cherry Blossoms 🌸 called Sakura.

Sakura is the Japanese word for cherry blossoms. There are special  varieties that bloom in the winter as well.

They are very common  in anime! They bloom around the same time that school goes on break and students start the new term  in the spring. In America, we start the term in the fall so this was quite a shock to me!

It’s used a lot in anime to signify the time of year! If you see cherry blossoms, it’s late March or early April  in the anime!

I had misunderstood then 😅 the translator made me think they were 2 similar flowers haha I only know about cherry blossoms from anime, it's a flower they use a lot.
