Here is the whole brochure. I did the zoomed in version of the 2 photos so you all could have fun playing spot the difference but the people have spoken! “Okesa” and “Tsukubane” Sakura are definitely the same photo and this is probably a misprint. I am not crazy.

I saw it on the Hirano Shrine page it seems the "Okesa" is actually the one shown in the attached photo. They must have been mistaken because they look so similar. It looks like the flowers fully bloom into what’s shown on the URL page. In any case, We always struggle to tell apart pink blossoms like cherry, peach, and plum every year😅 😂 https://www7b.biglobe.ne.jp/cerasus/aa01/1096.html

I'm so happy to hear that Pichi san likes ume (Japanese plums)! Both umeboshi (pickled plums) and umeshu (plum wine) come in so many varieties, and it’s really fun to compare them. Traditional umeboshi are quite salty, but I personally love the ones pickled with honey because they’re easier to enjoy. For umeshu, I prefer the rich, cloudy types with a deeper flavor. Oh, and I also really love the plums that have been soaked in umeshu they’re so delicious!😋

YAS! I thought the tea would be like the plums soaked in plum wine and I was shocked when it was so salty but it was good too! I drank them the whole first week of the new year hoping my luck would be good for all of 2025!
