You may see dramatic differences in your following count today. After the great purge last week, many many casters were upgraded from Spam Label 0 (the bad one) to 1 and 2, which means they now count in Warpcast. 

All frames and dune queries have been updated so you can see this all yourself. I show you how to see this data in the article below.

I noticed my follower count increased and then dropped again over the past few days.

The spam algorithm makes updates daily, but we only see it in the public data set. It normally updates Thursday nights, but was late and didn’t update until Friday morning. 

So in theory, your number could change daily as labels change.
