Re-release of Fan Art I made for @automod to remind people the bot was your friend and a like from the bot was Great and it meant your cast would appear on the Main feed. It's been a joy to use the tool and I can't stress how much I will miss it and how thankful I am that it's existed all this time. ngl, channel management is going to be difficult without it. Airstack team is working hard, but I hope other devs will pick up what @jtgi has open sourced. There is nothing as powerful and wonderful as automod for a channel host. RIP Automod. Meccha kawaii! Love it! Minted!🥰 Will @automod also stop working at the same time that the FC specifications change? There's no doubt that losing this tool will be a major inconvenience… What do you think the future of channels will be?

Yes. That’s how I understand it. Channels will either be highly curated member only spaces with little to no spam (because only invited people can participate) or they will be free for all spaces. Some people may use FanTokens to help gate it. I don’t know how I will use it all yet but I will figure out something for my channels.

I see.. Am I correct in understanding that uninvited people can read the channel's posts but cannot reply to the cast? Communication is likely to become more difficult than before…

I think the channel settings over rule that, but it’s actually a great question! My current understanding is that if you want your followers to comment it’s better to use your home feed.

For example, many of the channels you cast are ones that I don't regularly watch or use. But I’m replying to you if it's something i’m interested in, have a question about or something have thinking. I thought it would be sad if in that case it was placed in the “show more replies” bucket. I see. It looks like we'll see more use of home feeds.
