Dave and I are hunters and we shoot with our cameras. We shoot not to kill but to capture the moment and immortalize what is in front of our eyes forever. One of our passions is to photograph storms. Yes we are storm chasers but we have always been photographers first. One of our favourite subjects to photograph is lightning. Raw, beautiful and extremely dangerous lightning. We only get one chance to capture these beautiful bolts. There are no retakes. We have to get it right the first time!

I love the moments when the camera captures lightning. Since I'm not a professional, I once filmed it and took a screenshot of the lightning from the footage 😅

A lot of photogs use triggers too. We have used them but don’t like them. We gave found more success shooting manually and long exposures What ever you do thought please stay safe. Your vehicle is the safest place to shoot from.
