in Lebanon the tradition is to bake Maamoul for Easter, they are cookies made of butter, rose water, orange blossom water and inside they put pistachios, nuts and dates 

the tradition wants that people distribute them to neighbors and family. so we make a LOT 

I love our culture of sharing everything 🙈

for years she wasn’t able to work because of multiple illnesses and recently I felt like she was losing her sense of belonging to society and I felt she wants to be useful. 

Sometimes I ask her to make me dresses in whool, or I call her and we cook together, I even told her I’ll help her make a Lebanese cook book and we’ll sell it on Amazon
