Digital art collectors… how much value do you place on the chain/network that an artwork is on? How much of a factor is it when buying higher, medium or lower cost artworks?

I usually price and collect depending on the value of the coin of the network. For me the top for collecting art will always be ETH due to the smart contracts, long running dedication to it by platforms and proven execution by many projects. Everything else is secondary, including BTC, SOL, TEZ.

I think for lower cost any chain goes as long as the artwork is interesting. I own NFTs on chains that don't exist anymore (PGN, Rinkeby). And just today was considering buying on a new chain I never used before (Cardano). https://warpcast.com/y0b/0x0980683c

I think so too, I imagine it as in the traditional market, where you have artists selling in galleries and auction houses, and others who sell at good prices but directly to buyers, as well as those who make huge editions and earn in volume. They are different means, it took me a while to believe in level 2 and I'm still afraid that some of these networks will disappear over time. I sincerely hope that some will establish themselves over time on the heart of collectors because I have really enjoyed the experience of not depending on the value of gas for sales. But I believe that great art will always remain at level 1, and that should be the goal of all of us artists.

If the network is reputable and well-known, it will likely increase the value.

honestly, i think the network matters a lot. like, if it's on a popular chain, it's more trusted, ya know? but i still go for the art itself first! 🎨✨
