I tried the Culture series. 0/10 for me. It derailed at the poop eating cult on Vavatch imho. That said, I know it’s insanely popular.  Please: thoughts on that series from this group? I am reluctant to try again but trust y’all.

To be clear, I like Iain. The Algebraist was brilliant; it’s The Culture Series on which I seek insight, please.

Consider Phlebas is not the strongest culture book imo. Best starting point is probably player of games
