SILICON VALLEY CANON REGISTRATION OPENS TOMORROW AT 9A PT Some details & fine print before we start... The course will run for six weeks from September 23 - November 3. The next 7 days are "syllabus week" intended to let the class fill and to give people time to download the material. I've structured the curriculum to be self-service. While there aren't mandatory assignments or scores, there are exercises intended to deepen your knowledge of the material. I'm not your professor and won't track you down if you don't do the readings. It's your time & money; you get out what you put in. Due to the way Hypersub is setup, the course consists of two 1-month subscriptions. This is intended to give people a trial period so they can choose to renew for the second half if they are getting value. When you subscribe, you'll receive an NFT that gives you access to the private group chat with other subscribers. If you subbed but didn't get access, just ping me and I'll add you. Throughout the course I'll share my personal reading habits and tricks, including my Readwise + Obsidian setup, thoughts on spaced repetition and Zettelkasten, and tips to cultivate your own reading practice. My goal is to equip you with the tools to tackle the curriculum in a way that compounds knowledge over time. If you want to follow along but don't have the means to pay for a subscription, you are welcome to do so via the open source curriculum. We'll post most of our learnings in public in /books anyway. The subscription is intended to 1) enforce a commitment to make you accountable, 2) build a community of subscribers, and 3) help test some theories I have about the long-term viability of channels as an economic engine.
