Yesterday I watched the introduction, and today I watched the lecture on RPC and threads. I'm enjoying the process, but my lack of familiarity with Go is going to be a problem. I can either continue with the course, trying to pick up Go as I go (ha), or switch to a different topic that is more introductory. I'll watch lecture three tomorrow and then make a decision. I've found that just watching these courses without trying to implement the problems myself results in very little retained knowledge. So I'm better off choosing a topic I can commit to and implement now than something that seems aspirational but slides off my brain in a few weeks.

If you know C, Go is easy to learn. “The Go Programming Language” is a quick and easy read.
