The concept of amps is definitely interesting, no doubt about that. But aren’t the earnings mostly going to users with the most followers? I understand the logic behind it, but it seems that smaller or mid-sized accounts don’t earn nearly as much , mainly those with large followings benefit

as with most things in FC (i.e. rewards), people with large following/OGs are the ones making the big amounts šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Yes, that’s a reality miguel and I wanted to add this for @phil This isn’t meant as negative criticism, quite the opposite. It’s all about finding ways to grow and evolve. For what it’s worth, my favorite cartoon growing up was Robin Hood! Wouldn’t it be interesting if OGs with large followings had the option to share a portion of their earnings, maybe by sponsoring a smaller account of their choice or contributing to a crowdfunding ? Something along those lines could really strengthen the community spirit.

distribution is valuable i dont think making the product more communist is a good use of time, but we can do a better job helping to surface accounts with smaller but highly engaged followings

The connection with Robin Hood is purely symbolic, I promise, I was just watching the cartoon with my kids and saw a few AMPs casts right afterward. That said, I don’t believe Robin Hood was promoting a communist economic or political system. He simply wanted fairer redistribution without suffering under oppression. So there’s no real link here with AMPs. But when I see small accounts expressing gratitude for earning $5 through AMPs, while others with larger followings highlight earnings close to $1,000, that’s where I feel compelled to speak up. The idea of supporting smaller accounts with strong engagement seems interesting to me
