during the bright moments roadmap, we occasionally ran into a type of person that seemed to take perverse pleasure in negging our team it was so strange to me. i had never experienced this type of person in my life before: perpetually negative, argumentative, and incredibly outspoken about the smallest issues around that time, i found this pg essay that described the phenomenon which helped me understand the archetype, but it was still a bizarre experience https://paulgraham.com/fh.html

Most of the time they forget what was it that made them mad in the first place. They put all life troubles into an argument that has nothing (in most cases ) to do with you. Be happy that you helped someone vent out, instead of him having an accident that day.
