The economic opportunity for channel hosts is pretty incredible. Not only do you own the channel itself, you also have a direct financial relationship with subscribers. I can’t think of another online distribution channel outside of email where this exists.

oh because you have to login with email / your account is linked to your email? otherwise, i read recently 70% of engagement actually happens on their mobile app vs newsletter opens people are increasingly using it as a social network / discovery platform too
