main lesson from farcon for me was that i can earn social status by grinding hard on my computer without talking to anyone for a few months next time i feel bad about working after 10pm on friday i will remember farcon and come back to the grind

I wonder how much this will remain to be true at 1M, 10M, and 100M DAU seems computer grinding is useful this stage but if we actually onboard non-crypto/tech communities it will lose its social status at scale

interesting take the clout comes from supercast somewhat successful, so i guess a combo of this + some occasional bangers + forever inflated follower count will work?

Yes, but I think the key here is that these things will resonate with specific audiences: founders, builders, tech ppl etc That clout likely does not translate super well to orthogonal sub networks. following # never hurts but when you look at Twitter there’s a reason for pockets like CT, politics, science, etc
